Join Coastal WildScapes and CWS board member Rob Sutter on a leisurely 5.3 mile bike ride at Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge. We will explore the refuge, stopping at Woody Pond and Goose Pond, to talk about the human history and natural history of Harris Neck. We’ll search for painted buntings, wood storks, and alligators, and check out the wildflowers along the roadside. Enjoy this excellent opportunity for viewing and photographing the beautiful flora and fauna of the refuge. Healthy snacks and drinks will be provided. Bike helmets, sunscreen, and insect spray are recommended. Bikes that go on uneven terrain are required. Meet at the parking lot at the entrance to the refuge (carpooling suggested).
