Coastal Perennials for Moist Soils & Wetlands

This is a selection of flowering perennials that are associated with wetland habitats. Some prefer the wetland edge, while others live in the water. All of them make exciting landscaping material for rain gardens, runoff catchment features, ornamental bogs and as edge plantings along natural or artificial water features. Most of the plants on this list are also sun loving. Look for an “S” beside those that are to some degree tolerant of exposure to salt or salt spray.
